Differentiation is divided into three zones.

  1. Needs more help with module topic

  2. Working at module

  3. Needs more challenge on module topic

  • Teachers contribute "check in" questions used to check understanding.

  • We zone our check-ins.

  • We zone our differentiation strategies.

    • Zone 1: Syllabus collates catch up resources to support trainees.

    • Zone 2: Marking guides identify common problems and suggest responses.

    • Zone 3: Coursework includes an extension or stretch task.
